Overview

The EdiPax Net EDI SDK is for Microsoft Windows developers who are building B2B applications and user interfaces using SQL, ADO, OLE DB, and ODBC. It contains updated documentation, headers, libs and scripts, module test pages and developer tools.

PROGRAMMERS CAN USE OUR SDK TO ADD EdiPax EDI data model to their SQL application and exchange EDI or XML files with our Net-Servers / Net+Web-EDI service.

The good old days of flat ASCII are now gone ... and for ever !

It is an EDIFACT enabling library regrouping the best of EdiPax EDI/EDIFACT technology, but it is not only that !
Thanks to the unique design of the Xml kernel, you have access to the best of the 3 worlds

  • EDIFACT data model : all EDIFACT messages are supported
  • the power of SQL like instructions to analyse data or create reports
  • the Xml open, cross-platform syntax

The EdiPax Net EDI SDK is a "Freeware", posted without any warranty - refer to the license section

How about Unix and Linux ? Currently not supported. We recommend you install a Windows PC as B2B front end and use ADO connectivity driver to exchange data.

    • Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000 et 2003, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT
    • 8 MB of disk space plus another 6 MB of temporary disk space during installation
    • The Windows Installer needs to be installed on the machine.
    • ADO 2.7 (or later) driver available from http://www.microsoft.com/data

    remark : The EdiPax Net-SDK and the EdiPax Universal EDI Connector is available in English only, but has been tested on the following international operating systems : French and Czech.

    Developers may include and ship EdiPax SDK parts together with their own code, but
    • You must include EdiPax CopyRight
    • You may not sell the SDK or SDK parts
    • You must include the distribution package as supplied by EdiPax, without any modification
    • EdiPax client runtime (redistribution) routines (ActiveX Objects and scripts) for Access (mdb) are freeware.
    • EdiPax server runtime (redistribution) routines (ActiveX Objects and scripts) for SAP, Oracle and SQL Server are licensed - 400 EURO per server
    However, we recommend you Buy / register (400 EURO) to our pro service - Avantages are many

     How it works ...
       
    Our driver is a fully compliant Microsoft ADO 2.7 object. You can use it exactly as you would use other ADO compliant drivers, from any Windows development tools.
    You must use ADO connection string and specify "Provider=EdiPaxNetEDI to load the driver.
    It will return an ADO RecordSet pointer - refer to ADO API reference on Microsoft WWW site (ActiveX Data Objects 2.8 Start Page - http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp)
    Want to improve connectivity ? Unattended mode ? Other EdiPax products : Email is a critical application. With the "Pax Electronic Message Server" and the "EdiPax Electronic Document Extension" workstation application, you will share and route email through your organisation, organize the company many mail boxes, ... use the full power of the SOAP protocol to improve productivity.
